Biodiversity - Common basilisk

This species of lizard is very active.  The young eat a large quantity of insects while adults feed on seeds, fruits, flowers and small invertebrates.  They can be seen on the edge of the Chirripó Pacifico River and all the rivers near San Gerardo de Rivas.
